Lav Agarwal, spokesperson of Union Health Ministry, on Saturday (April 4) said that 30% of the COVID-19 positive cases in India currently are linked to the Tablighi Jamaat meet held at Nizamuddin in Delhi in March.

Of around 2,900 cases in India right now, 1023 cases are related to the meet, informed Agarwal adding that these cases are from 17 states across India.

Punya Salila Srivastava, Joint Secretary, Union Health Ministry informed that nearly 22,000 Tablighi Jamaat members and their contacts have been quarantined across the country so far.
