The Central government of India, on Saturday, November 13, claimed that 80% of the eligible population in India was vaccinated with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
As per the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, a total of 1,11,40,48,134 (over 111.40 crore) COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in India till 7 pm, November 13.
A total of 75,01,32,764 (over 75 crore) citizens received first dose and 36,94,22,586 (over 36 crore) citizens were given second dose of ‘made-in-India’ COVID-19 vaccines- Covishield and Covaxin.
The Central government is currently running ‘Har Ghar Dastak-’ door-to-door COVID-19 vaccination campaign to vaccinate citizens at large against the Coronavirus.
