In some good news related to the coronavirus pandemic in India, a 93-year-old man, who’s India’s oldest COVID-19 patient, and his wife were discharged on April 3 from a government hospital at Kottayam in Kerela after full recovery.
The couple, who reside in Ranni village in Pathanamthitta district, had contracted the disease from their son, daughter-in-law and grandson, who had returned from Italy last month.
State government officials said, “They are fine now. The decision to discharge them was taken after their latest sample test was confirmed to be negative for coronavirus.” The medical community is dubbing the recovery of India's oldest COVID-19 patient as a ‘miracle’, added the officials.
