Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, said that India waited for nearly 30 years to have its own ‘National Education Policy’ (NEP).
He remarked the same while addressing the virtual conference of India International Science Festival.
PM Modi began his address by saying, “Celebrating festivals is in the nature of India and we are celebrating science today, in which, India has its rich legacy.”
Speaking about educational reforms, he stated that the NEP focused on ‘spirit of enquiry’ and promoted research.
“Atal Innovation Mission compliments NEP in all sense. We are building ‘Atal Thinking Labs,’ which will groom and educate the budding scientists of India,” he added.
