Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel made heads turn with her grand entry at Nagpur's biggest garba - Raaas - as the band welcomed her by playing the song of her debut film 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai.' Ameesha's gracious presence, on the first day of Navratri, enhanced the grandeur of Raaas, which is being held at The Empress Palace, Wardha Road, till October 18. With her signature long hair and pretty face, Ameesha looked resplendent in a navy blue and pink lehenga.
Nagpur garba enthusiasts grooved on the beats of Raaas band, which comprised band manager Arshi Jain and famous singers – Priyani Vani, Saagar Kendurkar, Ishan Khan, Jatin Udasi and Farhan Sabri.
A lot of Bollywood and TV actors are slated to visit Raaas in coming days of this Navratri festival. To name a few – Sohail Khan, Kartik Aaryan (Pyar Ka Punchnama Fame), Varun Sharma (Fukrey Fame), Aayush Sharma (Loveyatri Fame), actor Dilip Joshi (Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma Fame), Divyanka Tripathi, among others. Garba players will also get to groove to the foot-tapping numbers by famous singers like Tulsi Kumar, Rahul Vaidya and Gajendra Verma.
Conceptualised by Varsha Kukreja and Jeetesh Rakheja, Raaas is being supported by Komal Nahata, Shyam Dewani, Rakesh Kothari and Vikrant Shandilya.
The members of Raaas family are: Vishal Tanna, Hitesh Mehta, Shravan Kukreja, Vikas Hasija, Hrudraksh Patel, Piyush Bansal, Ankit Agrawal, Dilip Agarwal, Hitesh Ganatra, Saket Gupta, Pravesh Katariya, Mayur Rathi, Zibran Khan, Saif Rangoonwala, Kamlesh Nagpal, Pankaj Vasani, Amit Patel, Narendra Singh, Sourabh Katariya, Angad Puri, Pratik Jain, Suraj Singh, Priyanka Kothari, Ashok Lakhani and Pammi Bhatti.
Raaas, which is taking place at The Empress Palace, (Rani Kothi 2) Wardha Road, from October 10 to October 18, is being organised in association with Nation Next as the media partner, and the event is being sponsored by T Series, Shreeji Tours and Travels, Blive Entertainment, Kukreja Infrastructure, Black Sword Furniture, Madhuban Village, Sandesh Group, Batukbhai Sons Jewellers, Kutz and Ankit Jewellers.
