Two more people in Nagpur tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday. As per District Information Officer Anil Gadekar, "While came is connected to the six members who recently tested positive for the virus and resides in Satranjipura, other is the wife of a Chandrapur positive patient who is admitted in hospital."
On Thursday, six members of the family of the man who died due to COVID-19 in the city tested positive on Thursday. The age of all positive patients were: 8, 12, 21, 30, 34 and 35. The city recorded its first death due to COVID-19 on April 6 after a 68-year-old resident of Satranjpura Badi Masjid in East Nagpur passed away on Sunday night and on Monday he was found be COVID-19 positive.
The 5th COVID-19 patient from the city, a resident of Khamla, was discharged from IGGMCH (Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital) was discharged after full recovery on Friday amid claps from the hospital staff. Apart from this, four more patients would get discharged on Saturday afternoon.
The tally of positive patients in the city now stands at 27, including the deceased.
