Director SS Rajamouli's film Baahubali 2 has achieved the impossible. The film, which stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj in crucial roles, has become the first Indian movie to collect Rs 1000 crore worldwide making it the highest grossing Indian film ever. Baahubali 2 has collected approximately Rs 800 crore in India and Rs 200 crore in the overseas market.
The news was confirmed by an announcement through Dharma Productions official twitter account. The annoucement read: " The power of cinema broke the shackles that bind and divide us! @ssrajamouli @Shobu_ @karanjohar @aafilmsindia #1000croreBaahubali2." The news was also confirmed by trade tracker Ramesh Bala who wrote: "With Rs 800+ Cr in India and Rs 200+ Cr in Overseas, #Baahubali2 becomes the 1st Indian movie to do Rs 1000 Cr @ WW BO.. #1000croreBaahubali."
