BJP MLAs on the first day of the on-going Maharashtra Assembly in Nagpur staged a protest in the House against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his recent remark against VD Savarkar.
The MLAs even wore caps that read ‘Mi Pan Savarkar’ (I’m also Savarkar) by objecting to Gandhi’s recent pun intended remark ‘Rape in India’ after the latter refused to apologise over the same. Gandhi in his speech had said that he wouldn’t apologise for speaking the truth come what may further adding that his name was Rahul Gandhi and not Rahul Savarkar.
Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Devendra Fadnavis had even sought for an unconditional apology from Gandhi over the same.
