Amidst the on-going power tussle between the BJP and Shiv Sena for forming the government in Maharashtra, Congress MLA from Bramhapuri and Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar accused the BJP of trying to buy a Shiv Sena MLA for Rs 50 crore.
Wadettiwar today claimed that even the Congress MLAs got calls from the BJP to join their party. He said that attempts to lure Congress MLAs with offers of Rs 25 to Rs 50 crore are being made.
The NCP and the Congress won 54 and 44 seats respectively out of 288 seats in the Maharashtra Assembly Elections where the majority mark is 145. The BJP and Shiv Sena have so far failed to reach an agreement to come together to form government despite the deadline of forming the government is coming to an end tomorrow.
