In a move to relax restrictions imposed on shops, establishments and restaurants, the Maharashtra government on, Tuesday, October 19, issued an executive order increasing the operating timings of establishments.
Restaurants in the state were allowed to operate till midnight (12 am) adhering to COVID-19 protocols. Also, shops and other establishments were permitted to do business till 11 pm.
However, the district authorities were given the control to reduce these timings according to requirements, but, they alone won’t have the power to relax these timings further.
Twitter handle of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s Office, wrote, “Restaurants & eateries can now remain open till 12 midnight, while shops and establishments can stay open till 11 pm with immediate effect.”
