With the death of a COVID-19 positive 69-year-old man at a hospital in Gujarat’s Surat on Sunday, the death toll because of the virus has increased to seven in India. According to the Health Ministry, India has now 341 people affected by coronavirus.

Earlier in the day, two more deaths were reported in the country to the virus. While a 38-year-old Bihar man, who was also suffering from kidney failure, tested positive and died, 63-year-old Mumbai man, who had a history of diabetes, high blood pressure and ischemic heart disease, also died due to the virus.

Amid fears that the virus may be entering stage three in India, many states have either imposed a lockdown or are considering the same.
