Cops in South Africa stormed into a wedding at KwaZulu-Natal with guns and arrested a couple for getting married despite a lockdown on Sunday. Apart from the couple, around 50 guests were also arrested for being a part of the wedding. The cops entered the wedding venue when groom Jabulani Zulu (48) and his bride Nomthandazo Mkhize (38) had just said ‘I do.’ The uMhlathuze Municipality said the newlyweds would be 'spending their honeymoon under stringent bail conditions.'
The bride, groom and the wedding guests were arrested and taken to a police station outside Richards Bay. However, each guest was released on bail by paying Rs 1000.
