In a shocking incident, a 42-year old man from Delhi was arrested recently for hiring two women, who posed as COVID-19 health workers, to kill his wife’s lover and his family members. The fake health workers tried to kill the victims by giving them poison and told them that it was a medicine to prevent coronavirus.
The accused, Pradeep, suspected that his wife was having an affair a Home Guard. Enraged by the thought, Pradeep hired the two women to go the victim’s house in Delhi’s Alipur area on May 17. The two women, who posed as health workers, gave the victim and his three family members a bottle, which was filled with poisonous liquid to drink, saying that it was a medicine to prevent coronavirus.
After drinking the liquid, the victim and his family became nauseous and fell sick. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where they are being treated.
The police was able to nab the women using CCTV footage. During the interrogation, the women revealed that they were hired by Pradeep for the job.
