Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, said that India gave more unicorns (start-up company valued over a billion-dollar) to the world in 2020 despite COVID-19 pandemic as compared to 2019.
He said the same while laying the foundation stone of Indian Institute of Management’s (IIM) permanent campus at Sambalpur, Odisha.
While addressing the teaching staff and students of IIM Sambalpur, he said, “Today’s Indian start-ups are tomorrow’s multi-national companies. From farming to the space sector, start-ups in India have a huge scope of development.”
He further stated that the youth has to achieve dreams with the vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ and only by doing so, ‘Brand-India’ would have a global identity.
“Innovation-Integrity-Inclusiveness is the mantra, when followed, will lead to the development of India’s entrepreneurship culture,” he added.
