National Spokesperson of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Sambit Patra, on Wednesday, said that for the last 25 years (1993-2018) , the state of Tripura was governed by leftist parties and no MSP (Minimum Support Price) was given to farmers.
He said the same while addressing a press conference at BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Wednesday.
"After winning the 2018 State Assembly Elections in Tripura, BJP started procuring paddy from local farmers. More than 48,000 tons of grain was purchased from Tripura farmers at the cost of Rs 86.65 crore," said Patra.
