After Himachal Pradesh, Goa became the second state in India to partially vaccinate its entire population.
Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, on Friday, claimed that the entire eligible population of Goa was vaccinated with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
CM Sawant’s announcement came amid threats of the third wave and the upcoming state Assembly polls.
“I congratulate our Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Workers for administering the first dose of #COVID19 vaccines to 100% eligible population in Goa. I thank the people of Goa for their support in making this drive a huge success,” wrote CM Sawant on his Twitter account.
