On May 9, soldiers from the India and China got involved in a face-off in Naku La area of North Sikkim along the Indo-Sino border. Soldiers from both the sides were injured in the clash.

Sources from the Indian Army told ANI: “The clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in North Sikkim did take place as a result of aggressive behavior. Minor injuries took place on both sides. The troops disengaged after dialogue and interaction at the local level.”

Sources informed that such temporary and short duration face-offs keep occurring as boundary issues between India and China have not been resolved. Such a incident has occurred after a long time. Such issues are resolved mutually as per established protocols.
