The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons, who plays the role of Sheldon Cooper in the famous American sitcom, married his longtime boyfriend and graphic designer Todd Spiewak on Saturday at New York’s Rain Room restaurant.
Even though Jim and Todd have been together for 14 years, it was not until 2012 that he came out as a gay. In 2013, he concluded his the Emmy Award acceptance speech by saying, “To my favorite person on the planet, Todd Spiewak. Then in 2015, when during a show he was asked whether he and Todd plan to marry, Jim said, “I don't know - I guess I kind of think so but there's no date in the book, or ring on the finger.”
In November last year, on completing 14 years of togetherness, the 44-year-old actor shared an old picture with Todd with a sweet caption. He wrote: “I met this guy (the one with the mic) 14 years ago today and it was the best thing that ever happened to me, no contest.”
Jim is one of the highest-paid TV stars in the US. He along with The Big Bang Theory co-stars Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki get paid an estimated $9,00,00 for each episode of the show.
