If certain reports are to be believed, producers of Kedarnath movie KriArj Entertainment have filed a suit against director Abhishek Kapoor for misbehaviour and delay in production. According to News 18, a source from the production house said, “Kedarnath is currently in court. The producers believed in his vision but they didn’t know he would do something like this to them. He (Abhishek) went to Kedarnath to start the film but suddenly told the team that he was not ready and the makers lost the dates of the cast.”
As per the reports, the producers felt cheated as Kapoor, who’s not ready to listen, announced a release date of the film without taking the producers into consideration. The producers were against releasing the film on the same date as Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie ‘Zero.’
Also, there were rumours of the director not allowing the production house to sign Kedarnath’s actor Sara Ali Khan for any other film, which the former was in talks for, thus pressurising them to drop the film.
Prerna Arora, who’s the head at KriArj said, “We are thinking of changing the release date. We might not compete with Shah Rukh sir. We are in talks with the director.” As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Sushant Singh Rajput, who’s cast opposite Sara Ali Khan also had a tiff with the director of the movie. It has been said that Sushant didn’t like Kapoor’s way of handling his character in the movie. Apparently, he also felt that a lot of his time got wasted due to poor handling of his dates.
