Maharashtra Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh, on Tuesday, paid humble homage to Katol’s Bhushan Satai, who died while serving the nation on, 16 November 2020. Late Soldier Naik Bhushan was killed in Jammu and Kashmir, in an attack by the Pakistani Military.
Home Minister Deshmukh (MLA from Katol constituency), extended a financial help of Rs 1 crore to Bhushan’s family on behalf of the state government, in Katol.
He took to social media and wrote, “I paid my respects to Bhushan Satai, a martyred soldier from Katol who sacrificed his life for the nation, offering floral tributes.”
“I also met his family and handed over the ex-gratia cheque, honouring them with shawls and flower bouquet in a ceremony at Katol. It was a moment of mixed emotions for me. I was filled with sadness yet I felt proud of him,” he added.
