The newly-appointed President of Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Nana Patole, during his visit to Nagpur, received a warm welcome at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport (NAG) from the party supporters on Wednesday.
The airport was seen buzzing with hundreds of enthusiastic supporters. Many were seen blasting Marathi songs and beating drums, while other supporters danced and raised slogans.
However, the celebration was not all fun, as many Congress workers reported of stolen mobile phones, purses and their personal belongings during the event.
Patole, along with other newly-appointed working Presidents and Vice Presidents, would take over the post at August Kranti Maidan (Gowalia Tank) in Tardeo, central Mumbai on February 12.

The ceremony would be conducted in the presence of Congress party’s Maharashtra in-charge HK Patil, former State President and Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat.
