Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope announced that all citizens would be covered under state government’s free health insurance scheme.

As of 10 am on May 21, Maharashtra recorded 39,297 COVID-19 cases since the outbreak of coronavirus in India. 2,250 of these cases were recorded in the last 24 hours and Maharashtra’s mortality rate for coronavirus stands at 3.54%. 1,390 COVID-19 patients have died so far.
