The COVID-19 cases in Nagpur district crossed the 2,48,000 mark on April 6 and casualties continue to rise at an alarming rate.

While the district registered 3,758 cases on April 6, 54 people succumbed to COVID-19 in a single day. With 3,758 cases on Tuesday, April 6, the district’s overall tally reached 2,48,883. While 2,652 cases were recorded in the city, 1,100 cases were recorded in Nagpur rural. Six cases were recorded from outside Nagpur district.

The number of patients who died due to the infection today was 54, which pushed the death toll in the district to 5,438. Also, 2,01,916 patients have recovered from the infection so far, out of which 3,305 recovered on Tuesday. There are 41,529 active patients in Nagpur district at present. The COVID-19 recovery rate as on Tuesday stood at 81.13 %.
