Ultra Cyclist Dr Amit Samarth will be cycling non-stop for 48 hours on his indoor cycling set up in Nagpur to raise funds for Maharashtra Police.

From May 2 evening, Ultra Cyclist Dr Amit Samarth will be cycling non-stop for 48 hours on his indoor cycling set up in Nagpur to raise funds for Maharashtra Police personnel fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr Samarth is also credited with successfully finishing a 5000 km race across America.

Dr Amit Samarth will be using his virtual indoor cycling training app, which simulates exactly road like conditions around the world in an indoor environment. The app simulates the ups and downs on the road just like real world. Dr Samarth will attempt to cycle more than 1300 km in this the non-stop 48 hours cycling ride.

In August 2018, Dr Samarth became first Asian and Indian to finish the Red Bull Trans-Siberian Extreme Race – Worlds Longest Bicycle race (9100 kms) – from Moscow to Vladivostok in Russia in 25 days. Only seven people in this world have finished this race successfully so far. He’s also the first Indian to finish Race Across America (5000 kms) in June 2017 in 11 days, 21 hours.
