Nagpur Police arrested man for allegedly selling alcohol stored in mineral water cartons from his pharmacy during COVID-19 lockdown in Ganeshpeth area on Wednesday.

Cops acting on a tip-off arrested the accused Nishant alias Bunty Pramod Gupta (36) after raiding his pharmacy at 8 pm. The police seized 90 bottles of beer including 48 Kingfisher, 12 Tuborg, 18 Haywards and 12 Budweiser bottles inside Aqua Natural Pura mineral water boxes.

Cops arrested Gupta, who is a resident of Dosar Bhavan Chowk. However, another accused managed to flee from the medical shop during the raid. A case has been registered against the accused under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Maharashtra Prohibition Act.
