Kunal Chaudhary, who served as the Nagpur President of the National Student’s Union of India (NSUI) from 2019-21, was on Sunday, October 17, appointed as the NSUI Maharashtra Spokesperson.
NSUI is a student body wing of the Indian National Congress Party.
Chaudhary’s appointment was confirmed by Aamir Sheikh, who is the Maharashtra NSUI President.
In an exclusive conversation, Chaudhary told Nation Next that the top decision-making body was impressed with the work that he had done as the Nagpur NSUI President and hence they promoted him as the state spokesperson.
“My main responsibility as the spokesperson will be to aware the students about the current political situations in Maharashtra and India. I will canvas for Congress party across various colleges and universities in the state,” he said.
Talking about his action plan, he said, “As things regarding COVID-19 are getting better, I will start with offline activities in a limited manner. I will be playing an active role in promoting Congress candidates in the upcoming local body elections in Nagpur.”
He further stated that his main goal was to mentor students to become orators, who can promote Congress’ ideologies and involve youth at large to participate in functions of the democracy such as elections, protests and many other campaigns.
Chaudhary concluded his say by saying, “I happy, excited but not nervous about this opportunity. I’m blessed to have great mentors like MLC Abhijeet Wanjari sir, who always support and motivate me. I will do to the best of my abilities in strengthening the Congress party.”
