Nagpur’s Sitabuldi Police, on Saturday, booked Meditrina Hospital director Dr Sameer Paltewar for cheating based on a complaint by another director.

Nagpur’s Sitabuldi Police, on Saturday, booked Meditrina Hospital director Dr Sameer Paltewar for cheating based on a complaint by another director Ganesh Chakkarwar, who’s a well-known tax consultant in the city.

Chakkarwar, in his complaint, has alleged that while Dr Paltewar took money from different patients, he changed the figures of the money received through the hospital software to lower the amount in the hospital records. Chakkarwar claimed that by doing this, Dr Paltewar has collected Rs 5,36,495 fraudulently from April 2019 till February 2021.

Sitabuldi Police have booked Dr Sameer Paltewar under sections 406, 409, 420, 465, 467, 468 and 471 of the IPC and section 65 (C) of the IT Act.
