On May 23, Nagpur district witnessed a slight decrease in COVID-19 cases and deaths as compared to May 22.
In the last 24 hours, Nagpur district recorded 1,042 new cases (300 from Nagpur city, 732 from Nagpur rural and 10 from outside the district) and 24 deaths. Out of the 24 deaths, 7 deaths were from Nagpur city, 7 from Nagpur rural and 10 from outside the district.
While cases were 1,086 on May 22 (445 from Nagpur city, 631 from Nagpur rural and 10 from outside the district), 26 deaths (7 deaths were from Nagpur city, 9 from Nagpur rural and 10 from outside the district) were recorded on May 22.
While the overall death toll in the district now stands at 8,768, Nagpur district has recorded 4,71,059 COVID-19 cases till now. 18,016 tests were conducted in Nagpur district in the last 24 hours as compared to 19,637 tests on May 22.
2,326 patients recovered from COVID-19 in last 24 hours taking the number of recoveries to 4,48,357.
There are 13,934 active patients (7,312 from city and 6,632 rural) in Nagpur district at present. The COVID-19 recovery rate as on May 23 stands at 95.18%.
