In a move to achieve 100% vaccination, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation, from today onwards, would also provide COVID-19 vaccine to those citizens, who don’t have Aadhar cards, Mayor Dayashankar Tiwari told Nation Next.
Over 30 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered in Nagpur city till November 30.
While speaking to Nation Next about Nagpur city’s outstanding achievement in administering over 30 lakh doses, he said, “It was possible due to the collective efforts of our citizens and the administration. We aim to fully vaccinate the entire population of Nagpur city.”
“We have had held several meetings to discuss our action plan. I can assure you that no case of the new variant has been found in Nagpur city,” said Mayor Tiwari when asked about ‘Omicron’ variant.
As per the NMC, 188570 (over 18 lakh) citizens were vaccinated with the first dose and 1147800 (over 11 lakh) received the second dose of COVID vaccine.
