Maharashtra government, on Thursday, in an order, stated that, anyone who was vaccinated with both the doses of COVID-19 vaccine would not require a negative RT-PCR report on their entry into the state henceforth.
The order was passed under the exercise of the Disaster Management Act of 2005.
It further stated that the exemption was for both, international as well as domestic passengers.
However, it would be mandatory for the travellers to have COWIN’s certificate of the second dose, issued 15 days prior to their arrival.
The order, which was signed by Chief Secretary of Maharashtra government Sitaram Kunte, read, “It is mandatory that despite this exemption order in place, all passengers, irrespective of the status of vaccination must follow COVID Appropriate Behaviour all the time.”
It also stated that the time interval of the validity of the RT-PCR test for all other persons was reduced from 72 to 48 hours.
