On the request of a Bharatiya Janata Party Corporator Mohan Raju, two artists build a 14-feet tall statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi totally from scrap material.
The statue would be installed soon in Bengaluru. The Father-son duo, who made the statue, run ‘Surya Silpa Sala,’ an artisans workshop in Tenali in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. They have won many international accolades in the past few years for their art.
As per reports, the artisans used a variety of waste materials, which included discarded automobile parts, metal chains, cogs, wheels, rods, nuts, bolts, sheets, and other broken unusable metal pieces to build the Prime Minister's statue.
On average, it took around two tonnes of scrap materials to build the 14-feet-tall statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 10-15 artisans worked for nearly two months to finish the structure. However, the price of the statue is unknown.
