While addressing the Indo-Japan Samwad conference virtually, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, proposed to create a library of traditional Buddhist literature and scriptures. He also called for keeping humanism at core of policies adding that the discussions related to global growth cannot happen only between a few calling for a bigger table and broader agendas.

During the conference, PM Modi also thanked Japan’s Government for it’s constant support to samwad.

“Today, I would like to propose the creation of a library of traditional Buddhist literature and scriptures. We would be happy to create such a facility in India and would provide appropriate resources for it,” he said.
Further, speaking on global growth, PM Modi said, “Discussions on global growth cannot happen only between a few. The table must be bigger. The agenda must be broader. Growth patterns must follow a human-centric approach. And, be in harmony with surroundings.”
