Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) Chief and former Union Minister for Civil Aviation Chaudhary Ajit Singh died of COVID-19 on Thursday at the age of 82. Singh, who was a prominent leader in western Uttar Pradesh and a seven-time MP from Bhaghpat, was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Gurugram after testing COVID-19 positive on April 20.
Son of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, Ajit Singh developed complications on Tuesday due to lung infection. He was an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur and Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.
