In a move to show solidarity with the on-going farmer’s protest at the Delhi- Haryana- Gazipur border against farm laws, Congress workers staged ‘Chakka-Jam’ protest at Saoner (Nagpur), on Saturday.
Vice President of Nagpur Zilla Parishad Manohar Kumbhare, Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Sunil Kedar and Youth Congress workers organised the ‘Chakka-Jam’ protest, in which they burned tires, shouted slogans and called to support farmers in their fight against ‘dictator BJP.’
The protest started by 11 am at the Gandhi Putla in Saoner and farmers from outskirts of the Taluka supported it with their bullock carts and tractor march.
“Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, Revoke the three black laws,” the protesters shouted.
The protest stopped all the vehicles coming through the area and locked the boundaries with bikes and human chains.
The Chakka-Jam protest is being carried out across the nation.
