A shocking video has surfaced online wherein Coronavirus patients in a Mumbai Hospital can be seen lying next to dead bodies of COVID-19 victims. The one-minute-long video is from Sion Hospital, which is run by BMC and is one of the major COVID-19 dedicated-hospital in Mumbai.
In the video, at least seven corpses wrapped up in black body bags can be seen lying beside the patients, who are being treated. Unaffected by the presence of dead bodies, family members of some patients can be seen attending them.
The video was tweeted by senior Congress leader Milind Deora, who wrote, “Outraged to see corpses laid beside the sick at Sion Hospital. Why isn’t @mybmc following @WHO-prescribed protocols when disposing of #COVID-19 corpses? Public hospital staff are doing their best with limited resources at hand. Mumbai’s administration needs to step up NOW!”

Former Maharashtra CM and Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis also expressed his disappointment on Twitter and urged the Maharashtra government to take action.
Sion Hospital incident is extremely serious and shocking. Patients which are being treated are lying beside dead bodies. This is utterly inhuman. Is there no one to care for Mumbai? Govt must immediately look into this & ensure that it doesn’t happen ever again!#coronainmumbai
