Late Bollywood actress Sridevi posthumously won Best Actress at the 65th National Awards for her last movie Mom, which was released in 2017.
Mom, in which the late actress, played a vengeful mother who sets out to avenge her step daughter played by Sajal Ali, was directed by Ravi Udyawar.
Sridevi, in an interaction with IANS had said that she was proud to be a part of a movie like Mom. She had further said that she was extremely happy to be a part of the film as she made parents more conscious about sending their kids to farmhouses for parties.
Director Ravi Udyawar expressed his joy on the late actress' National Award win. As per News 18, he said, “Wow, she deserves it. I’m really happy it’s great news for me because it was our film. She had done a fabulous job. We all are missing her now.”
