Guardian Minister of Nagpur Dr Nitin Raut, on Sunday, spoke about the relaxations and curbs that the district would have to adhere to from Monday, June 7.
Despite Nagpur district falling under category Level 1 as per the Maharashtra unlock guidelines, authorities have implemented certain restrictions as precautionary measures to avoid spread of COVID-19. Moreover, Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) would also remain in force that restricts the gathering of more than five persons at public places.
Raut said all shops that sell essential and non-essential items would remain open till 5 pm on all days. He said malls would remain open till 5 pm and restaurants would be allowed to operate till 10 pm but with 50% capacity.
Areas designated for walking, cycling would remain open from 5 am to 9 am and 5 pm to 9 pm. The senior Cabinet Minister also said that private offices would be functional till 5pm and government offices would be allowed to operate with 100% capacity.
He said, “Social gatherings for cultural, entertainment and marriage purposes would be permitted with 100 persons or 50% seating capacity of the venue. There is a limit of 50 people for funerals.”
He further said that public transport buses would operate with 100% seating capacity but with no standees allowed.
Raut said that all schools and colleges would remain shut but they could continue with their practical exams or administrative work till 5 pm. He concluded that swimming pools, amusement parks would remain shut while gym and salons would be permitted to operate till 5pm.
