Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, on Monday, October 18, claimed that all the eligible citizens in the state were vaccinated against COVID-19 with the first dose.
Following the lead of Himachal Pradesh, Goa and Jammu and Kashmir, Devbhumi Uttarakhand is one of the very few states in India to partially vaccinate its entire population.
According to the Chief Minister, 74 lakh people in the state were vaccinated with the first dose and 34.68 lakh citizens were fully vaccinated.
Sharing this news, CM Dhami took to Twitter and wrote, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji, Uttarakhand has become a state, in which, all eligible citizens are vaccinated with the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Congratulations to all the citizens.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi too took to Twitter and congratulated the people of Uttarakhand for this remarkable achievement.
This target was achieved by the state government ahead of the festivities and the Assembly polls.
