These awards seek out and celebrate the individuals, companies and organizations who have managed to bring the real positive difference to the society and marketplace through innovative, value-centric offerings and products. This year, the winners of the award were selected based on the distinctive online voting process by the public, throughout the period of one month, all across Maharashtra. The results of voting favoured VICCO over a myriad of other challengers across various categories like popularity, customer service and innovation.

Speaking after receiving the award, Pendharkar said, “I am exceedingly delighted and humbled to be receiving this honour amidst all my peers of the business world. I’m thankful to all the people who voted for VICCO and deemed me worthy of this recognition. This award serves to intensify our vision of a healthier and wholesome society. This recognition has provided immense credibility to our efforts that we put in as VICCO and it further solidifies our commitment towards our customers.” He added, “This award clearly reflects the love of our customers for VICCO and I only wish that this fondness and warmth for our products and services continue to grow with each passing day.”

Reflecting on the success of VICCO, Pendharkar said, “My journey as an entrepreneur has been quite a rollercoaster ride. And I have had my fair share of challenges, which I survived. Every inch of my way, I have struggled to make it to the top of the success ladder, imbibing a lot of learnings along the way. One thing which I have learnt is, that in business, you can’t expect to innovate if you are not willing to embrace risks. You should be ready to forego your comfort zone if you want to emerge triumphant.”

The award ceremony was a perfect exemplification of ‘Diversity on Display’ as renowned businessmen from different sectors shared their success stories. Those prominently present during the ceremony included: Ashish Kumar Chauhan (Chairman, BSE), Dhananjay Datar (Masala King), Balasaheb Kamble (MD, Lalbaug Cha Raja), Anant Bhalekar (MD,  Maharashtra Vyapari Peth), former MLA Bhagawanrao Salunkhe, Shankar Jadhav (Strategy head, BSE), Ajay Thakur (Chief, BSE SME), Anand Chari (BGM, BSE SME), Subhash Dalvi (Strategy Head, BSE) and Sneha Patil.
