Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, while addressing the virtual event of Aligarh Muslim University’s (AMU) centenary celebration said that whatever belonged to India, belonged to every Indian, no matter the religion they followed.
Congratulating AMU’s staff, PM Modi said, “AMU is just not a university, it’s a part of India’s priceless heritage. Wherever they go, they represent Indian culture.”
Speaking about the government’s achievements, he stated that the drop-out rate of Muslim girls had reduced from 70% to less than 30% and that was possible due Centre’s ‘Shauchalay Abhiyaan.’
Thanking AMU for its contribution towards society, he said, “Be it donating a heavy amount to PM- Cares fund, providing isolation wards and conducting free sanitization drives, AMU has always contributed towards nation building.”
