While addressing media in Nagpur on Sunday, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said that he has decided to shun his bulletproof government vehicle in his constituency, and instead use an ‘Electric Vehicle’ whenever he visits Nagpur.
“Instead of the bulletproof vehicle, that has been granted to me by government, I have decided to only use electric car in Nagpur from today. The motive behind this decision is to prompt citizens to use electric, biofuel and ethanol vehicles to reduce pollution and make Nagpur clean and pollution-free.”
“I wish that the pollution level in Nagpur should reduce to a great extent in the span of two years. 100 buses in Nagpur Mahanagar Palika have already been converted into CNG, we would convert 300 more buses further, and introduce CNG pumps in the city as well,” he added.
